It is easy to work out in the gym and get returns at home, but it is easier to work out at home with your smartphone. Your smartphone may not give you all the things it could do when you’re working out in a gym, and it can also infect you if it feels like you’re doing all these things even though you are.
There are actually a ton of options in this space, and most work roughly the same, but here are some of the best home training apps for iOS and Android. I have selected apps that require little or no equipment for people of varying fitness levels.
Aaptiv says that most home training apps use videos to show you what to do, meaning you need to hold your phone or tablet and look at the screen in the middle of a stretch. It has licensed music, so you don’t even have to worry about setting up playlists within the app, and it’s free.
When you log in for the first time, you will be asked to set a goal to lose weight, run faster, or simply stay fit, which is a list of goals, such as running faster or training for a marathon.
Each workout is divided into categories such as strength training and stretching, and is offered with an estimated duration and difficulty, with stars from other users helping you choose. You will also be asked for the equipment you have access to, as it is only recommended workouts that you can do with what you already have.
2. Fitbit Coach
Fitbit Coach is led by a professional, enthusiastic trainer, who guides your movements with clear video instructions. Choose a fitness test, but don’t know how to do a particular exercise, or are you bored?
When you first launch the app, you will be asked to log in to your existing account and then perform an eight-minute fitness test.
Then you can choose from a range of programs that are tailored to different objectives and get to know yourself properly.
When you exercise alone, just tap the Fitbit Coach icon in the top right corner of your screen and it will show you exactly how to do it safely. Log in to your Fitbit account, then tap “Login” and You are shown exactly what you are doing.
3. Daily Workout
Daily Workouts is a simple app for light home workouts and offers therapy for both men and women. The app also includes over 100 exercises targeting different parts of the body, including squats, deadlifts, push-ups, lunges, squats, etc.
The developer also has a free version of the app available for Android and iOS devices as well as Windows and Mac. The full version, a $19.99 app, was added to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, but the ads were removed. Exercise on any device with the Daily Workouts app on iOS and Android devices.
